The D-Day is Thursday, 29 September,2022 when the Supreme court  sitting in Abuja will adjudicate in the  Governor-elect Adeleke’s choice as the Osun PDP flag bearer in the last PDP primary election held in Osogbo.

Recall that a co-party member with Senator Adeleke, Prince Dotun Babayemi went to court to challenge the authenticity of the candidature of Senator Ademola Adeleke ,claiming that he is the right candidate of  the PDP.

The PDP National Working Committee had earlier recognized Senator Adeleke as their flag bearer for the July 16 governorship election which he (Adeleke) won against  the current governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola.

However,at a parallel Congress, Prince Dotun Babayemi was allegedly elected as the PDP flag bearer, therefore claiming to be the right candidate for the governorship position of Osun PDP.

Senator Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) had earlier floored Prince Dotun Babayemi at both the  Federal High Court and the Appeal Courts as the judgement were  to his favour and PDP.

Having been declared  the winner of the Governorship  election in Osun State on July16 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Senator Ademola Adeleke is expected to be sworn in as the next  executive governor  of Osun State on November 27,2022 all other things being equal.
