The Osun Online Publishers Association’s (OOPA) Digital Week 2024 which commenced this week Tuesday 4th December climaxed with the main event on Wednesday with a public lecture entitled:”The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Digital Media in the 21st Century.

Part of the event was Awards of Excellence to different Categories of personalities, Philanthropists and Institutions who have excelled in their various vocations in Osun State.

One of the  Award recipients was the   Fresh FM Radio Station which clinched Best Radio of the Year among various contestants in the radio category.

It would be recalled that,the emergence of  Fresh FM radio Station came about via electronic voting system by the general public,both in Nigeria and the diaspora.

While responding to his Radio Station Award, the General Manager of Fresh FM,Dr. Akinkunmi Alabi described the Award as “an indication that listeners in Osun and beyond appreciate how the media outfit has redefined broadcasting since it came on board”

According to Dr. Akinkunmi Alabi,”the Award will strengthen Fresh FM to double its efforts in giving out more informative,educative and entertaining contents to its listeners for them to have their expectations met.”

The Olowu of Kuta,Oba Adekunle Makana Oyelude,Tegbosun 111,ably represented by Chief Duro Balogun of Kuta kingdom presented the coveted Award to the General Manager of Fresh FM Radio,Dr. Akinkunmi Alabi amidst applause from the audience.

Other Recipients of Awards are CPS Opalola and Mrs Funmi Abokede -General Manager ,Osun Community and Social Development Agency(CSDA)who won WOMEN OF VIRTUE.

Phoebestar Royalty Schools,Osogbo clinched Osun Best Secondary School of the Year, Dr.Adelawon Taiwo bagged  Osun Philanthropist of the Year Award.

OOPA also awarded one of its own,the Publisher of The Interviews Nigeria Mr.Idowu Akintunde, OOPA Member of The Year. The award was presented to him by the Chairman of Osun Online Publishers,Mr Mukhtar Ajelogbon at the event.

The Osun Online Publishers Media Week is an annual event massively attended from far and near.

This year Digital Media Week witnessed a public lecture titled- “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Digital Media in the 21st Century.

This lecture presented the opportunity to journalists and other professionals in attendance the  insights into how  AI could be employed to transform the digital landscape in addition to using their brains and brawns as endowed by God .
