Osun Online Publishers Commence Its 2024 Digital Week

The Osun Online Publishers Digital Week 2024 Edition took off today Wednesday with a Press Conference at its Secretariat building, Olonkoro Area, Osogbo.

Giving his stewardship as the chairman of  the Digital Week Committee,Adesoji Omosebi, went through the memory lane of the task given to him and his team.

 

 

Mr Omosebi thanked all the pioneer chairmen of the association for their inputs into the association during their days and also thanked his Committee members for their cooperation in the course of making the Week a reality.

The Chairman of the Osun Online Publishers Association, Mukhtar Ajelogbon thanked the Digital Committee. and other members of the association for a job well-done and their  team spirit  helping to make sure nothing is left undone.

Ajelogbon did not forget to speak on the preoccupation of journalism.

According to him,”members of the Osun Online Publishers Association, must  always be objective in their reportage”.

“Your news must be balanced and not one-sided, Ajelogbon said.

 

As part of the association’s agenda to touch the lives of the community, especially the less privileged,a visit was made to an orphanage home- The Abiye Orphanage home at Igbona Area where various items ranging from noodles,toilet rolls and other items were donated to the home.

Responding to the good gesture, the Administrative officer of the home, Mrs Adegoke Bukola,appreciated  OOPA for remembering the less privileged at this crucial time and prayed for more progress for the association.

 

Departing from the orphanage ,OOPA also visited the Igbona market where the Iyaloja(women Market leader) received the association.

The chairman of OOPA gave a brief talk on hygiene in our environment and why markets should always be tidy. Thereafter, items,such as waste bins, Parkers and brooms were donated to the market.

Tomorrow  Thursday, is a continuation of the week ,where different awards shall be given to those who have distinguished themselves in their  businesses,career and philanthropic works. It shall be an interesting event as many dignitaries have been invited,apart from the training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) arranged to equip members on this aspect of digital business.
