The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, gave the assurance during the bid-Opening of Backlog of maintenance / rehabilitation of 48km Upgrading of 35.9km Rural Roads in Osun State
The State Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Olaoluwa appreciated all the bidders and invited stakeholders who graced the bidding exercise openly carried out to ensure its transparency.
Governor Adeleke emphasized his administrations commitment at ensuring that construction works are given to competent contractors to handle throughout the state.
While re-emphasising his resolve to ensure a level playing field for all bidders , Senator Ademola also maintained that the evaluation process will always be carried out transparently in order to be fair to all bidders.
The Chairman,Osun House of Assembly Committee on Rural and Community Development, Hon. Oderinwale Elisha Akinyemi at the event commended the bid opening process as transparent jus as he applauded Osun RAAMP for adhering to standards in their activities.
Also Speaking , The Chairman, Osun State Project Monitoring Committee, who doubles as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Works and transport, Engr. Bashir Bello equally acknowledged the openness of the bidding exercise as carried out openly before the bidders and other stakeholders.
Eng. Bashir who attributed the development to the transparent nature of Ademola Adeleke led administration in all sectors, assured the bidders that their submissions would be carefully evaluated on merit and in compliance with the eligibility criteria stated in the advert.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Project Coordinator, Osun Rural Access Agricultural and Marketing Project, Engr. Popoola Rasaq Okediya ,assured all bidders that the evaluation process will be conducted with fairness and due diligence, stressing that, Osun RAAMP does not have a preferred candidate
He noted that the goal of RAAMP “is not only to select the most qualified contractor but also to uphold the integrity of the procurement process and safeguard the interests of Osun State and its citizens.”
The General Manager, Public Procurement Agency, Engr. Oyetola Babawale Adesina, described the Bid Opening Process as one of the evaluation processes of document for possible contract execution in line with the need to ensure best practices as stipulated in the Public Procurement Act
A cross section of the bidders who bid from different companies from different states in Nigeria appreciated the exercise saying it is an affirmation of the fact that, Osun under Adeleke led administration is a step ahead of others in Nigeria
