… _says it’s a victory for Osun_
The just concluded election of the Executive Council of the Forum of Clerks in Nigeria has witnessed the emergence of the Osun State House of Assembly Clerk, Mr. Simeon Amusan as its Vice-Chairman.
The landslide victory, with 30 votes for Osun Parliament Clerk as opposed to 3 votes for that of Rivers, was recorded during the meeting of the Forum of Clerks of States Houses of Assembly which was held in Abuja.
The New Vice-Chairman, Mr Amusan, while addressing newsmen in his office expressed sincere gratitude to God and described the election as a victory not only for him but for Osun State as a whole.
Mr Amusan declared that Osun has never clinched any executive position in the Forum and his new placement serves as the first, attributing the success to the progress and light brought by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s led administration.
He further stressed that the Forum would from time engage in a peer review mechanism, through Zoom meetings, to help exchange views from the Parliaments.
While emphasizing that his new position would improve the legislative functions in the Osun Assembly, the clerk urged other technocrats in their various fora to make Osun State proud by proving their worth in various capacities.
