President Buhari spokesperson-Garba Shehu disclosed to BBC Hausa that the ‘No-fly’’ in Zamfara state was enforced because of reports that jets are used to ferry arms to bandits in Zamfara and other states in the North-West.

It would be recalled that the President declared Zamfara a ‘’No Fly Zone’’ after the National Security Council meeting on Tuesday. Only military aircraft and some selected ones can fly in the state.

Buhari also stopped all forms of mining in the state to curb the lingering insecurity in the area. The decision came a few hours after the abducted Zamfara School girls were freed by their abductors.

Salient questions that require answers now; Where was the jets taking off? Who receives and offloads the cargoes and who owns the chartered jets? The government should unravel these and take drastic action to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
