President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Bishop Dr. Stephen Adegbite, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State chapter, as the Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC).

President Tinubu also appointed eight other top Nigerians to serve on the new NCPC Board.

According to a State House statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity), Chief Ajuri Ngelale, at the weekend, President Tinubu appointed Colonel Aloche Adole also, as the new chairman of the NCPC Board.


Other board members, whose appointment is with immediate effect, included Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola (Member, South West); Clement Alobu Nweke (Member, South East) and Chief Prince Weli Wosu (Member, South South).

Also appointed to the board are Prof. Joseph Haruna Mamman (Member, North West); Dr. Toma Hamidu Ragnjiya (Member, North East); Dr. Simon Abu Samson Dolly (Member, North Central) and Bishop Raphael Benjamin Nwankwo (Representative, CAN.)

President Bola Tinubu charged the new appointees to consider their appointment as an opportunity to serve the nation and, as such, wholly commit themselves to this important purpose.
