21ST of March every year has been set aside to commemorate the World Poetry Day.

Poetry is a means of expressing our thoughts in a subtle but deep and meaningful way to those who cherish the work of arts.

Lovers of poems see well in the ‘spirit ‘ and out of the ‘maddening crowd’.  Poems are didactic and when crafted well, become melodious.

Enjoy these simple poems to make your day:

  1. YOUTH

Youth!

Make use of it.

For when you are old

What you preserved

Would be your gold.

Choose a road

And fill the pot holes

By playing your roles

If you remember God

In addition  to that

You’ll find you are young

When others can’t get along

  1. TO BE WISE

We read books

To gain knowledge

But until the books

Are Written we’ll be left

With empty desks

We practice Democracy

To enhance Freedom

But until the meaning of democracy

Is known by the masses

They may call it anarchy

In other words

To be wise

We need at the devices.

3.EVERYBODY HAS A CHANCE

Ever been snubbed

Because you didn’t

Own a thing?

I was once,

I went  back home,

Tied tight my pants,

And headed for the grade

I  made it.

And Iam now

What he is not

Iam above his trade.
