In a bid to ameliorate incidence of fire outbreak in Osun, the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has commissioned two newly procured fire fighting trucks.
Speaking at the commissioning,  held at Osun State Fire Service Headquarters Abere, the Governor said he was happy to commission the trucks, noting that it is one of his aspirations to ensure the safety of residents of the State.
Governor Adeleke, after inspecting the Guard of Honour mounted by officers from the State Fire Service, enthused that he is also looking into other areas of needs of the Agency crying for attention.
He therefore charged residents of the State to take caution on fire handling, most especially this dry season.
The State helmsman however urged the Fire Service to maximize the good gesture by maintaining the trucks so that it can last long.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon.
Rasheed Aderibigbe said the laudable initiative is attestation to the love which Governor Adeleke has for the security of lives and property of the citizens of the State.
He further noted that this kind of equipment, in the Agency, was done last in the year 2008
In the same vein, the Commander, State Fire Service, Mr Olubunmi Oyelami recalled that for the past fifteen years, when the Fire Agency has been agitating for the procurement of equipments, Governor Ademola Adeleke is the first to yield to their request.
