It is with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you all to the opening of the 2025 edition of the Osun Digital Media Week, proudly organized by the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) under my leadership.
Today marks the beginning of a three-day journey that brings together innovators, media professionals, policy stakeholders, and thought leaders to explore the evolving intersection of digital media, artificial intelligence, and democratic governance.
This year’s theme, “Harnessing Technology and Artificial Intelligence Towards Credible Elections and Information Dissemination in Nigeria,” is both timely and necessary. As our society moves deeper into a technology-driven era, the role of digital media practitioners becomes even more central to the preservation of truth, the promotion of transparency, and the strengthening of Nigeria’s electoral integrity.
I appreciate the efforts of the planning committee headed by Mr Adesoji Omosebi SOJ Worldwide for working round the clock to make this a reality. The support of members of the association are duly acknowledged.
As we are looking forward to a digital driving engagement throughout the three-day journey that the planning committee chairman will explain the different activities already lined up. By the mandate given to me as the Chairman, Osun Online Publishers Association, I hereby declare THE 2025 OSUN DIGITAL MEDIA WEEK OPEN by the power of God almighty and the support of all and sundry.
