..says its collection is sacrosanct for easy business transaction
All private schools and hospitals in Osun State have been enjoined to visit the Osun Internal Revenue Service headquarters office to collect the year 2023 Harmonized Bill as a way of running a hitch-free business in the state.
This was made known by the Head of Department of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies Unit of the Osun Internal Revenue Service, Mrs Oluwayemi Oyekale during a live radio programme titled “Ojuse Omoluabi”.
Mrs Oyekale, who spoke extensively on the importance of the agency’s harmonized bill, noted that it is an arrowhead for all private schools and hospitals in Osun to know the levies and dues to be paid by them so as to make the payments easier and to help the government in the provision of adequate amenities.
The HOD further asserted that the bill under the law is to make payments under the MDAs category easier and less stressful as the bill has been in existence for a while, adding that the levies to pay under the bill are business premises fee, water development levy as well as renewal and environmental service bill.
She then urged all private schools and hospitals in the state to do well by paying all their levies as and when due emphasizing that there is a time limit to the payment.
She also revealed that after the collection of the harmonized bill, it is not mandatory for any school or hospital to pay the bill at the OIRS building as payers can as well pay in banks with a generated code to make payments easier and timely.
Mrs Oyekale, therefore, advised those who are yet to register their schools or hospitals to go to the Ministries of Education and Health respectively for their registration as a way of performing their civic responsibility to the government.
