Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members about, “The Necessity Of Implicit Faith In The Living God” in a recent Tuesday Leadership Development Service.

In one of his subtopics, he spoke about, “The Impossibility Of Fellowship With Idols While Serving God” and said that it’s not possible to worship God and idol, if you claim to be saved, you cannot be in the light and in the darkness at the same time. You cannot serve the living God and the dead idol at the same time.

He then said that those who are born again, sanctified, cleansed and washed, redeemed and have the Spirit of God bearing witness in their hearts that they are the children of God, they cannot worship God and idol at the same time. Those who say they are children of God but the Spirit of God does not bear any witness in their hearts, they are not real children of God.

He then advised Christians to leave any church where they talk about Jesus but worship idols. He said, “If you’re in a kind of church that talks about Jesus but they worships idols, they are not doing things according to the word of God, they are not standing for Christ, anywhere they are, they are worshipping the creatures above God, they are worshipping darkness above light, what you need to do is to leave that place and go to the place where they are not adding anything with the doctrine of Jesus, be in the Bible believing church where you can listen to the truth, abandon that idol and worship the true God. I pray the Lord will give us the commitment and devotion to stand for the Bible.”

Finally, he said, “You cannot come to a place like this and take the pure word of God, the word of Holiness and drink in the word and revelation and then after that you go to the side of the devil to go and drink the cup of the devil. you must not, you cannot, and you will not do that IN Jesus Name.
