Commissioner for Women,Children and Social Welfare,Chief( Mrs)
Ayobola Awolowo has reiterated the Commitment of Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration to the development and empowerment of women.
The stance of the Governor in this regard was made known by Chief( Mrs) Awolowo
while receiving the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA) in her office during a courtesy call.
While speaking ,the Commissioner expressed delight on the visit and pledged the Ministry’s support. She used the opportunity to acknowledge Senator Adeleke’s commitment to the growth,welfare,care and development of women in Osun state.
The Chairperson of Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA) Mrs Florence Bamidele Adaralewa, in her remarks expressed gratitude for the warm reception while seeking the support of the Ministry towards the actualisation of the set objectives of the association.
Mrs Adaralewa highlighted the association’s objectives which include providing safe environment for officers to discharge their duties, promoting the welfare of Officer’s families and organizing training programs for officers’ wives amongst others.
Mrs Adaralewa emphasized the importance of making and achieving peace at homes and the society at large in line with the association’s slogan ‘Peace at home, Peace in the nation’.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barr. Abimbola Babatunde and Director Women Affairs, Mrs Yemisi Oladele were on ground to welcome the CDOWA delegation .
