The Osun State Accord Party,today, Wednesday 10th December,2025 held its Governorship Primary Election for the 2026 elections at the Oasis Conference/Events Centre, Agunbelewo,Osogbo.
Delegates And Accreditation
There were 150 delegates for the primary election and 150 delegates were accredited accordingly.
The accredited delegates were from the 30 local governments of Osun State. They all took their turn to vote local government by local government. The voting was at the glare of all delegates, the Osun Governor,Adeleke, his deputy, the eagled eyes of the Electoral Umpire INEC, Stakeholders,the media and the public.
Voting commenced as early as 11.OOam ,while counting of votes cast followed immediately after.

Winner Declared
Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke had 145 votes and was eventually declared the winner of the primary Governorship election of the Accord party for the 2026 Governorship elections.
Certificate of Return
Certificate of Return was presented to Governor Adeleke by the National Chairman of Accord Party Barr. Maxwell Ngbudem at 12.56pm.
In his acceptance Speech,governor Adeleke appreciated all the delegates present and God Almighty,the leadership of Accord Party and other Stakeholders in attendance across the State.
“It is with deep sense of appreciation to delegates and Almighty God that I accept my nomination and election as the governorship Candidate of the Accord for the 2026 Governorship Election. I Convey my heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of our great party and delegates across the 332 Wards of of Osun State. The confidence you reposed in me is hugely appreciated. I assure you,that I will not take you for granted,”Adeleke said.
According to Governor Adeleke,his likely opponents should run on their records .
“In their days in governments ,what were their deliverables to the people of Osun State?How did they run or managed the State? What legacy did they leave for the people?
He queried.
Adeleke’s Achievements in Government
Among other notable achievements,governor Adeleke mentioned the following as his government achievements:
•Osun moved from number 33 under APC government to number 7 in National Examination Rating
•Reduce Osun Infrastructure Deficit from over 80% in 2022 by over 40% in 2025.
•Paid over 40% Osun Inherited debts as Confirmed by Debt Management Office
•First in access to Primary Health Care across the South West.

Governor Adeleke, the Osun 2026 Governorship Candidate of Accord Party, having accepted his nomination and election, unveiled an upgraded Five-Point Agenda for the coming 2026 Governorship tussle in Osun State:
1.Integrated Citizens and Workers Welfare
2.Infrastructure consolidation for Economic Prosperity
3. Increased Agro-Industrial Expansion for Youths and Empowerment
4. Innovation for Health, Education and Social Care.
