DIVIDEND OF DEMOCRACY: Osun Government Provides Portable Water Supply For ESA-OKE Residents

 

 

Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Administration is committed to the provision of sustainable water supply in rural communities across Osun State.

 

The General Manager, of Small Towns  Water Supply and Sanitation  Agency, Mrs Toyin  Asaolu stated this on IMOLE-AYO, a sensitization programme on OSBC Radio and Television.

The programme is put together by the office of the spokesperson to the governor, Mallam  Olawale  Rasheed to promote the activities of Governor Ademola  Adeleke’s administration on the development of  Osun State.

 

Mrs Asaolu pointed out that the present administration is currently addressing the challenges facing the water sector in the State.

 

According to her, the challenges facing the water supply system in rural areas over the years have increased the dependency of rural dwellers on polluted surface water sources.

 

The GM, of Small Towns Water Supply  Agency, explained that the water scheme in Esa-Oke is being rehabilitated in phases as residents of the ancient town are now enjoying a portable water supply provided by Senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration.

 

 

She assured the residents of Okuku, Igbaye, Inisa, Toto, Igege, and Oluponna among others that, water schemes in their areas will be rehabilitated as soon as the ongoing rehabilitation work in Esa-Oke is completed.
