At the recent retreat for the management and staff of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria(FRCN) in Calabar, Cross River State, Mr. Labaran Maku gave the hint of his ministry blue print to establishing ,a digital radio station in Nigeria.
According to Maku, the radio station, when it takes off transmission, will compete effectively with any radio station in the world. He therefore enjoined the delegates at the forum to support the Federal Government’s plan to make a huge success of the project.
Maku was represented by his special adviser Mr Henry Abiodun Angulu who said “‘Nigeria is going through a very challenging period in its history and the role of the broadcast media especially FRCN, becomes even more crucial. The public, therefore, expects some ideas that will improve the contents and programmes of the broadcast media and help to sanitize the policy”
