Osun state Head of Service, Mr. Ayanleye Aina has expressed confidence and optimism in the ability of the present administration in Osun state to change the fortune of women career civil servants for better .
Addressing women in the civil service of Osun as part of a weeklong activities to mark the year 2023 civil service week, Mr Aina appreciated the priceless contributionns of career civil servants who are women.
Aina, who spoke through the Permanent Secretary , Capacity Building in the office of the Head of Service, Mr Olugbenga Sunday, however,admonished all the civil servants in Osun state , particularly women ,to invest in other profitable businesses other than relying completely on civil service work alone.
At the opening ceremony of the civil service week celebration/ women’s day lecture held at Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere,
Mr Aina also admonished women in the civil service to take good care of their health as well as their husbands and children.
The resource person at the program who is the Director ,Social welfare, Ministry of women, children and social affairs, Princess Hannah Olufunmilayo Mosadomi who spoke on : Violence in Marriage” defined marriage as a union between two people, a man and a woman.
Princess Mosadomi also identified some causes of violence in marriage to include: Low self esteem or inferiority complex, Lack of proper education about marrital life, media influence/ peer pressure, traumatic events, poverty, Drug and alcohol influence among others.
Princess Mosadomi finally advised that anyone who finds herself in marrital violence should not keep it to herself but speak out.
In her goodwill message, the secretary civil service women’s wing, Mrs Olubukola Akinbade implored women to take good care of their homes as the backbone and pillars of their husbands.
