Gbenga Elegbeleye, the Chairman of the APC Congress Committee in Osun State has said that his committee was not aware of any parallel congress held anywhere across the State in the just concluded Local Government Congress.

According to Elegbeleye, ‘’no one notified him or his committee members of any dissenting voice against consensus, adding that his committee complied with the protocols and guidelines as spelt out by the national headquarters of the party.

This was made known on Monday in a press conference at the APC  secretariat in Osogbo. Elegbeleye echoed that nobody informed him and his group of objections to consensus arrangements. According to him, they only saw it on social media as others did

The list of the elected party officials was displayed by the Chairman and will be submitted to the national headquarters of the party.

On the issue about the names announced by the Osun Progressives, the group loyal to the immediate past governor Rauf Aregbesola, Elegbeleye said,’’ the constitution of our party only recognizes the APC and not any group within the party.

‘’I know nothing about that and I think if anyone has objections, they should come to the secretariat of the APC and not go online or on-air to display such’’ he said.
