After a three-day blackout, internet services were restored in Gabon on Wednesday.

The restoration followed an announcement by a group of military officers who declared the nullification of election results granting President Ali Bongo Ondimba another term.

In response to concerns of disseminating “false news” and potential unrest, Bongo’s administration had imposed a nationwide internet shutdown as voting concluded on Saturday.
