The European Union(EU) Election Observation Mission(EOM) led by long team Observer Dagmar Raudam paid a courtesy visit to Osun Online Publishers on Wednesday as part of the Mission objectives to observe the coming Presidential, Senate and House of Representatives elections scheduled for 25th February and the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections marked for 11 March 2023.
Welcoming the team was the Chairman of the Osun Online Publishers, Jare Tiamiyu, Publisher of Insight Media.
Tiamiyu heartily welcomed the Elections Observers ‘team and took the time to introduce all members of the Association in attendance.

Head of the team, Dagmar Raudam and Annie-Lise took time to field some germane questions about the general preparedness of the Osun Online Publishers for the forthcoming general elections in the State, the political climate in the State, how the Osun Publishers function as media practitioners viz; curtailing or preventing fake news and other checks and balances.
The chairman did not mince words to explain in-to-to the policy on the ground to which the Association tenaciously holds on and which if flouted by any publisher meets with appropriate sanction.

While addressing Osun Online Publishers, the team leaders, Dagmar and Annie-Lise explained their mission in Nigeria and Osun State in particular. They pointed out that they do not interfere in the election process. They made us understand that their colleagues are scattered all over the Federation for the same purpose.
According to Dagmar ’’We are neutral and impartial and not in favour of any political party but simply to observe the process without interfering in the conduct of the election or its results, she said’’. Dagmar said , that the Osun Online Publishers were worth working with in order to achieve their desired objectives in the elections.

In her own contribution, Annie-Lise, one of the team members, eulogized Osun Online Publishers Association and was happy to have heard about the Association’s antecedents in past elections
