The All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential Campaign train was at Freedom Park, Osogbo on Thursday to welcome to Osun its Presidential Flag bearer Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The enthusiastic supporters of the APC trooped to the venue of the rally as early as 10 am awaiting the main man-Ahmed Bola Tinubu and when he surfaced, it was like a carnival. Because of the crowd on the ground, he could not alight from the vehicle that conveyed him, but in the company of his campaign team rode and spoke to the people in his unique motorcade with the inscription ‘’ The Nation Builder(S)Tinubu”.
The entry of the APC Presidential hopeful into the campaign arena electrified the environment as jubilations greeted the air from every nook and cranny of the environment and people were trooping out from Oke-fia, Ola-Iya, and old-garage areas to catch a glimpse of the man they love to vote as their president. This held the traffic for a few hours but with the better guards on the ground, the situation was perfectly arrested.
While addressing the sea of supporters who have been patiently awaiting him since morning, Asiwaju Tinubu promised rapid economic changes in the country.
‘’We will create jobs through the registration centre’’, he said.
Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu also said,’’ we will create jobs through the establishment of manufacturing industries at the length and breadth of Nigeria. He asserts that he’s skilful to move the economic mountain of the country for good if elected into office.
Asiwaju at the rostrum also promised, ‘’we will pay the school fees of the indigent students where necessary.
He called on Osun residents and all Nigerians to go and collect their PVC because ‘’that’s the power you have to vote me and other candidates’’.
‘’We are very grateful for this mammoth crowd. Please, go and pick your Permanent Voter Cards, he said.
Sarcastically, Tinubu says,’’ wherever the polling booth is, we will walk there and vote. We shall not be put to shame’’ he prayed.
The who is who at the occasion are: Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary of APC, Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Obasa, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, immediate past Governor of Osun State Adegboyega Oyetola and many other party chieftains.
