Police Moves To Probe Death of Three Children Inside A Parked Car in Ilorin

Police officers on fact-finding mission on Monday visited No 8, Boluke Lane, Zango-Kulende Quarters, Ilorin, where three siblings of the same parents reportedly died in the said car.

However, they could not gain entrance into the building as the gate was under lock and key and nobody was around to welcome them.

The police operatives then proceeded to the family house of the bereaved mother, Shade Silifat, at Ile Magaji, Taiwo Isale Road, where she is recuperating from the shock of the tragedy that befell her on Sunday.

DAILY POST learnt that the police operatives queried her for not reporting the matter officially.

A source told DAILY POST the Commissioner of Police has given a go-ahead to a discreet investigation in a bid to get to the root of the matter.

Meanwhile, the landlord of the residence where the siblings died, has reportedly issued quit notice to Abdulkadir Jimoh, the father of the deceased children, who has gone into hiding since the tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon.

Jimoh, owner of a barber shop at Oke-Andi, Zango-Kulende area, was said to have borrowed the ill-fated car which killed the three children from his sister for the naming ceremony of a new born baby by his second wife nine days ago.
