The spokesperson for the state police command, Timfon John, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday in Uyo, revealing that the facility was discovered in Usung Atiat, Abak Local Government Area.

According to John, security operatives raided the premises based on credible intelligence, leading to the arrest of a female suspect who had been harboring seven pregnant women and five infants aged between two weeks and one year.

“Further search led to the recovery of various medical supplies, including syringes, drip lines, herbs, and immunization records, for which the suspect had no legal authorization,” she said.

The rescued women are currently under protective care, while investigations are ongoing to uncover other collaborators and ensure justice is served.
