Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as RudeBoy of P-Square, has accused his twin brother, Peter, of being responsible for their elder brother Jude’s legal troubles.

During a court hearing on Friday for Jude’s bail application, Paul expressed his commitment to securing Jude’s release, stating that he is standing for the truth.

Jude Okoye, the former manager of the now-defunct music group P-Square, was recently charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with laundering ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

He was arraigned alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

He pleaded not guilty to all seven charges.

At a court session on Wednesday, the prosecution, led by Larry Peters Aso, requested that Jude be remanded in a correctional facility while awaiting trial.

However, his lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, filed a bail application, suggesting that Jude should remain in EFCC custody until the case is heard.

Speaking outside the court, Paul Okoye defended Jude, claiming that Peter was behind the ordeal.

“Peter is the one putting Jude through this. He is responsible for Jude being in prison, and I am here to get him out,” Paul stated.

He also suggested that if Jude was guilty of any wrongdoing, then both he and Peter should also be held accountable.

The case is ongoing, and Jude’s bail application is still under review.
