The former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has inaugurated an 11-man committee to reposition the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The committee, led by former Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, is charged with reviewing the party’s recent activities, proposing templates for resolving grievances among party members, and recommending an ethical reward system in the state.

Governor Oyetola also noted that the party must not overlook the excesses of those members that created challenges for it in the last governorship and general elections. He urged the committee to take decisive steps to reorganize the party, saying that sustaining the interest of the Osun people in the APC was crucial.

In response to the move, a leader of the Osun APC members loyal to former governor Rauf Aregbesola, Mr Lowo Adebiyi, welcomed the development but listed conditions that must be met before Aregbesola’s supporters would appear before the panel. He stated that while they were still in the APC, they were not aware and not involved in the committee issue.
