In a Press release from the stable of the Patron,Osun West Collective,Mallam Olawale Rasheed, a group of professionals and political stakeholders in the Osun West Senatorial District of Osun State, has eulogized the first civilian Governor of Osun State, Senator Isaka Adetunji Adeleke on his 70th posthumous birthday.
A statement by the group’s Patron, Mallam Olawale Rasheed noted that the Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, popularly referred to as Serubawon laid the foundation for a prosperous Osun State, a legacy that Governor Ademola Adeleke is now upholding.
The group further described the Late ‘Serubawon’ as a true democrat who did not discriminate between, tribe, gender, religion or culture; adding that his demise remains a shock in the heart of those who knew him and many who don’t, but felt his impact as Governor and as a Senator who represented Osun West in his lifetime.
The statement reads, ” Today we remember a hero, the first civilian Governor of Osun State, Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, who we all refer to as ‘Serubawon’, the man who laid the foundation for a prosperous Osun State, a legacy that our performing Governor Ademola Adeleke is now building upon.
“Senator Isiaka Adeleke was a true democrat, very accommodating and did not discriminate between, tribe, gender, religion or culture. His demise remains a shock in the heart of those who knew him and many who do not but felt his impact as Governor and as a Senator who represented Osun West in his lifetime.”
