In a bid to get rid of criminal elements in the state, Police Operatives attached to CP’s Monitoring Unit on 11th April, 2025 at about 5:10 pm arrested Olowookere Ojo Mojeed ‘m’ 27 years at Ogo-Oluwa area, Osogbo.
The arrest was sequel to the report that the suspect was caught with a Bajaj Boxer Motorcycle with Reg. No. EDT 155 QF stolen from where it was parked by the owner.
Investigation led to the recovery of two other Motorcycles: TVS and Bajaj from the suspect.
The suspect confessed to belong to members of a syndicate that specialize in stealing Motorcycles from where they are parked.
The detectives not resting on their laurels swiftly moved to Shasha area, Osogbo on the same day at 8:30 pm and arrested one Hammed Jelili ‘m’ 38 years in his hide-out and six spare Motorcycle Keys used for their operations were recovered from him.
Discreet investigation led the Operatives to Brewery area, Ibadan, Oyo State where the receiver of the stolen Motorcycles, one Oguntade Segun ‘m’ 64 years was arrested and confessed to have bought four different makes of Motorcycles from them at a price ranging from two hundred and fifty thousand naira only (#250,000) to three hundred thousand naira only (#300,000).
Further investigation led to the arrest of Arobadi Michael ‘m’ 30 years who always deliver the stolen Motorcycles to the receiver.
The suspects will be charged to Court after the completion of investigation.
The Police Command is hereby calling on those whose motorcycles were stolen or robbed to come to the CP’s Monitoring Unit, State headquarters, Osogbo for identification.
