The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola reiterated that the major rival and opposition in the State, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) is not capable of stopping his reelection on July 16 because his administration has performed creditably well in the delivery of good governance to the good people of Osun in the three and a half years of his tenure.
Governor Adegboyega enjoined the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Cards(PVCs) in order to support him in the coming election.
According to the Governor information from the INEC indicated that people were not collecting their PVCs
Governor Oyetola was represented by the Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, at the inauguration and launching of a N5million fundraising ceremony for the building of the secretariat of the Osun State chapter of Blacksmith, Welders, iron Benders, and Metal Technician Association of Nigeria(BWIAN) in Osogbo, noted that despite the dearth of funds, he has fulfilled his campaign promises.
He said his administration would provide an enabling environment for small-scale businesses to thrive, adding that since its inception, his government had embarked on infrastructural development, providing soft loans for small-scale businesses, ensuring security, and also tax-friendly policies for business owners.
‘’The report by INEC that the rate of collection of PVC by registered voters in the State is low is worrisome. PVC remains the power of the electorate to ensure continuity of administration’’., the Governor added.
Senator Ajibola Bashiru, the Director-General of the Oyetola Campaign Organisation appealed to residents to support the re-election of Oyetola in the coming governorship election in the State.-
