MAY DAY: Dr Saliu Orisunlagba Felicitates With Osun Workers

The Osun 2026 governorship candidate of People’s Redemption Party, PRP, Dr Rasaq Oyelami Saliu, has congratulated all workers in the state on the occasion of Worker’s Day.

In a release made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Friday, Dr Saliu popularly known as Orisunlagba, described workers as the engine of any working and sustainable system in any government.

According to him “I salute your doggedness and the courage to carry on despite the worsening economic challenges. May you all reap your reward and get your benefits also in your own lifetime and not just in heaven. May those difficult days of half salary never return”.

“It is my belief that workers should be paid before their sweat dries. We can’t claim to have respect for the dignity of labour while denying workers their dues.

Therefore, addressing manpower shortage, regular salary and allowances, prompt promotion and payment of retirement benefits and pensions are priority issues in the agenda of PRP when voted into power on August 15, 2026.

“I pray to God Almighty to continue to bless all workers and our dear Osun State,” Dr Saliu concluded.
