Lagos Commissioners To Present Stewardship Reports Before 2027 Election

The Lagos State Government will begin a month-long Ministerial Press Briefing on Monday, May 11, 2026, as members of the State Executive Council prepare to present reports of their activities and achievements under the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration over the past one year.

The Lagos State government, through the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, announced this on May 9, 2026. The commissioner said the briefing, organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, is expected to provide Lagos residents with detailed updates on projects, policies, and programmes implemented across different sectors of the state.

According to the government, the annual exercise serves as a platform for Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, to present “Facts and Figures” on the achievements recorded under the various pillars of the THEMES+ Agenda.

The government stated that the engagement would also offer Lagosians the opportunity to assess ongoing efforts aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state.

“This year’s edition is particularly significant as it precedes the general elections. The exercise will enable the public to assess the performance of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat administration, appreciate the milestones recorded, and get an insight into the plans for a Greater Lagos,” the statement read.

The state government added that the media briefing would further strengthen public understanding of the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.

According to the statement, the achievements recorded so far by the administration reflect purposeful leadership and responsible governance in the state.

“All sessions will be live streamed on all state social media handles,” the statement added.
