A gas explosion occurred at a Mobil filling station located near the Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Thursday, August 8.
The incident happened at about 11 am, which had caused chaos and damages.
I’n a chat with TVC Reporter, a victim who was at the filling station to fuel his vehicle was heard lamenting of his
burnt commercial bus.
” I have no other source of livelihood. This is what I use to feed my family,pay my children school fees and other things” ” I want the government to help me because this is all I have and fire has destroyed everything” he lamented.
Some nearby houses were affected too, so also some people were badly burnt in the inferno but for the timely response from the Lagos State Fire Service who was able to put out the fire more damages could have been done.
