Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richard, has hailed the mental toughness of Arsenal’s players this season.
Richards was speaking on Sky Sports after City thrashed Crystal Palace 3-0 in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush gave the hosts a two-goal lead in the first half, before Savinho added a late third.
The results keeps Pep Guardiola’s men two points behind Arsenal with two games left each.
Richards said: “We constantly say with Arsenal, have they got the leader to take them over the line?
“They have shown they have, they are the favourites now and nobody can say they are bottling it anymore.
“They weren’t playing well, but turned their fortunes against Fulham and then again against West Ham.
“They lost here [at Man City] and maybe the Arsenal of last season the confidence would have drained.”
