…to retain Bosun Tijani
The Second edition of Arewa Tech Fest welcomed El-Rufai and others on Wednesday in Katsina.
As one of the guests at the occasion, the
former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai eulogies the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, saying he would remain in office if a new coalition succeeds in removing President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“We will still keep Bosun Tijani because he is doing good work,”.
El-Rufai made this pronouncement on Wednesday at the second edition of the Arewa Tech Fest in Katsina, a three-day event on the preoccupation of promoting tech innovation in northern Nigeria.
Tijani, who delivered the keynote address, was among several key figures in attendance, including startups, investors, and policy experts.
El-Rufai, who arrived late to the event, apologised and revealed he had been attending a critical coalition meeting the previous night.
“There was an important coalition meeting at 8pm to ensure President Tinubu goes back to Lagos,” he said.
According to him, his delay was owing to the Katsina airport’s closure after 8pm.
Recall that the arrow head opposition, El-Rufai is working to form a united political front to unseat Tinubu in 2027.
His political change of baton became real in March when he swiftly dished the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
