Bolanle Raheem’s Killer revealed by Police

The Lagos State Police Command  has named  one of its Officers  who pulled the trigger  to snuff life out of  Bolanle  Raheeb  , a Lagos based Lawyer.

 

The Command’s Spokesperson , Benjamin Hundeyin revealed  the killer policeman  as Dambi  Vandi.

The police officer , Vandi, is now detained  in the police custody . Mr Vandi  is an assistant  Superintendent   of Police  according to  the information read by The Interviews Nigeria via  the Spokesman ,Hundeyin’s Twitter handle.

 

Recall  that the Lagos  based lawyer  was brutally  murdered  on Christmas day  by the police officer  attached to  the Ajiwe  police station  at Ajah  , Under Bridge area of Lagos  on Sunday.

 

 

Also, recall, that  the killing  was  not the first  of its kind  in that axis  as similar dastardly act  was reported  earlier  this month  of one Gafaru Buraimoh shot dead  by an ”unknown” officer from  the location.

 

 

However,  the Lagos State Police  Command Spokesperson , Mr  Hundeyin  said,  the suspect  has been transferred  to the State  Criminal Investigation Department(CID) and he  has promised  that the investigation  leading to the death of the deceased lawyer  will be ”swift”.

 

Condolence visit to the bereaved family in Lagos

In a related  development, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, the Inspector General of Police(IGP),Usman -Baba  , former Vice President  Atiku Abubakar have sent their condolences  to the deceased family.

 

 

Similarly , the President, Muhammadu Buhari , has also registered his displeasure concerning the heinous crime against the late lawyer. The President has sent his condolence message to the deceased family  and has ordered a speedy  investigation into the   matter and asks the IG to take actions  against the killers.

 

 

 

Many Nigerians have  bitterly reacted  to this unwarranted  murder  incident  on the radios newspapers and the social media especially as  it has become a ‘recurring decimal’ having  witnessed  similar case  this month in the Ajah axis.

 

 

Nigerians are therefor calling  for  spontaneous justice  for the deceased and the family.
