According to a news posted by Sahara Reporters last week Thursday evening ,it has been alleged that a student of Greenfield University in Kaduna State,who spoke on condition of anonymity has narrated how they were attacked by bandits to Leadership Newspaper Correspondent, shortly after their school was attacked.
According to the information that was given by the student while she was speaking at the Camp Operation Thunder Strike, she made it known that the bandits stormed their school located at kilometer 34,Kaduna-Abuja Highway in a different directions owing to the porous nature of the institution and abducted an unknown number of students after breaking down their doors.
It was revealed that when they came, they started shooting sporadically into the air and gained entry into the female hostel, after killing thee porter of the male hostel,whose name was given as Paul Okafor.
It was made known that Paul was about locking the door of the female hostel so that bandits would not be able to gain entry when they shot him dead and after the uproar escaped with some students whose numbers were given as 17,even though the given figure was not confirmed by the school management.
The student further revealed that that the bandits who attacked their school and kidnapped students were young boys between the ages of 17-20 years, but they were fully armed with rifles.
When the Registrar of the Institution was contacted concerning the attack, Mr Bashir Muhammed made it known that he couldn’t give any information about it because , he has been instructed by the institution’s governing board not to speak about it but, gave assurance that the management will speak about the attack before last Friday., as it was also learnt that the bandits have contacted some of the parents of the kidnapped students and are demanding for huge amount of money as ransom to release their children.
