*Amotekun arrests Hoodlums with Firearms in Osun*
The operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested two men, Afeez Olaniyan, 27 year old and Ismail Wahab, 23 yr old with a locally made pistol gun in Osogbo.
They were arrested on Wednesday following a tip-off from the residents of the area on the activities of Afeez and Wahab unleashing terror attacks on the inhabitants of Ita -olokan Osogbo and it’s environs.
Operatives of Amotekun swung into action immediately and got them arrested.
Confirming the arrest, the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi confirmed that the suspected hoodlums were arrested by the operatives for terrorizing the residents of Ita-Olokan area Osogbo and its environs.
According to him “The suspected hoodlums were arrested on Wednesday after receiving a distress call from the residents of the area on the activities of the suspects unleashing attack on the residents of Ita-Olokan Osogbo and it’s environs.
Our operatives swung into action Instantly after the complaint was made and the culprits were arrested and a locally made pistol gun was found on them at the time of their arrest”.
“Upon Investigation, they confessed to committing the act and using the firearm to protect themselves”.Adewinmbi affirmed.
The suspect have been handed over to the police for subsequent investigation and interrogation.
