Ahmed Audi has stepped down as the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) after attaining the official retirement age.
Audi formally left office on Friday, marking his final day during the 2026 World Civil Defence Day celebration held at the NSCDC headquarters in Abuja.
He assumed leadership of the corps on 1 March 2021, following his appointment by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Federal Government has yet to announce a successor to the position of Commandant-General.
Audi hails from Nasarawa State. He was born on 30 September 1967. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He also earned a master’s degree in Public Business Administration from the University of Calabar. In addition, he is a member of the National Institute (mni).
