The historic event  took place today ,27th November , 2022 when the new Governor  of Osun State Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke was sworn-in  as the 6th  Executive governor of Osun State.

The duo of Adeleke and his deputy Kola Adewusi took  oaths of offices administered by  the  Osun State Chief  Judge Adepele Ojo at the main bowl of the Osogbo City Stadium witnessed by a tumultuous crowd amid jubilations.

The dancing Senator(Adeleke) (now Governor) breezed  into the arena  of the ceremony  with a retinue of vehicles at about  9.am and finished  his oath taking  at 11.50a.m

 

The who is who  in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the occasion  include : the Presidential candidate of the PDP Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Ifeanyi  Okowa, Atiku’s wife, Titi Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, former Oyo State Governor, Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, the Oluwo  of Iwo , Oba Rasheed Akanbi , were all  at the event  to grace the occasion.

Other crème – de- la crème at the swearing-in ceremony  were Governor  Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Governor Aminu Tambuwa of Sokoto State, former Ekiti State Governor ,Ayodele Fayose and his Imperial Majesty , Oba  Adeyeye  Ogunwusi, the  OONI of  Ife and other notable traditional rulers in the State; the list is inexhaustible.
