An acting director at the Rural Electrification Fund, Rural Electrification Agency, REA, Ahmed Alhasan, reportedly slumped and died at an official event on Wednesday.

 

 

Kunle Olubiyo, President of the Nigeria Consumer Protection Network, confirmed his death in a condolence message.

According to him, Alhasan, who is a deputy director, died during REA’s stakeholders’ roundtable with Akwa Ibom State.

His death has attracted tributes from power and energy sector stakeholders in the country.
