TAX CLEARANCE IS A PREREQUISITE TO OBTAIN A TAX CERTIFICATE-OIRS DIRECTOR OF INCOME TAX AFFIRMS

The Director, of Income Tax, Osun Internal  Revenue Service, Mr  Wasiu Olatan has affirmed that tax clearance is the certificate given to faithful taxpayers as evidence in accordance with their payment schedule for the year without which no taxpayer can be pronounced certified.

 

 

Mr Olaitan made this known while fielding questions from journalists in his office.

 

 

The Agency’s helmsman explained that part of the responsibilities of the Internal Revenue Agency is the registration of new companies to have a safe landing in the State, adding that a Company has to follow the payment charges of the agency such as land use charges, and business premises fees among others.

 

The Agency’s  Accounting Officer emphasized that a responsible taxpayer must make tax payments for three years to the agency as part of the registration procedure as a new business owner in the State.

 

 

He assured anyone that wishes to set up a  business company in the State of the agency’s support and cooperation, adding that the agency was specifically established to help any business to survive and thrive successfully.
