*TOPIC: THE PRISON OF THE FLESH*

2022 has been an interesting year. There was a prison and there is still a prison in this year. This prison pursues man and it is important that I begin to explain now and you begin to see how to program yourself towards the coming year. That prison is called “The Prison Of The Flesh”.
More than anything, it has caused most problems. So you now have to make up your mind as you are going into the coming year, whether you want to allow Mr Flesh to control you, or to direct your destiny and to cause trouble for you.
It has caused so much trouble for so many people this year. If there is any message towards next year, it is a message that we must kill the flesh. We must die to that flesh. It has been causing so much trouble.
In John 6, Jesus gave a devastating blow to the flesh and so we have to be very very careful. He gave a damning condemnation of this thing called flesh. The flesh is zero. It knows it is not going beyond this planet.
The flesh knows that a pronouncement has been made against him that “dust thou art, and unto the dust thou shalt return”. So he knows his journey ends here, that he is not going to heaven. So he wants to drag as many people as possible to that level. In our second scripture, Jesus gave a powerful advice for us to deny ourselves and follow Him.
Paul said “but I put my body under, and I keep it under subjection, lest at any time after I might have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” Meaning that flesh has the capacity to push anyone to hell fire. That is why Paul said “I die daily”, killing the flesh daily.
We need to know that until we die to our flesh, we cannot live in God. Until we are emptied of ourselves, we cannot experience the fullness of our God. When Mr. Flesh is in control of a life, he struggles with the spirit.
That Mr. Flesh is like a person dwelling within. You may not see it on the face, but it dwells within the heart. It controls, it enforces, it occupies, it dictates, it whispers, it fights, but from all within.
Mr Flesh is the complete way of life inherited by nature. It is the enemy within the camp. It is that part of man that is in rebellion to God. I am going to be honest with you here today. Your greatest problem is not the devil. It is not witches and wizards. It is you, Mr Flesh.
The devil comes into us when we open the door to him through uncrucified flesh. If you mortify your flesh, majority of your battle is over. The Bible says that the Prince of this world brought their xray machine and scanning machine to look at Jesus, and they found nothing.
Jesus was dead to the agenda of the flesh. The devil is continually looking for open doors. For the enemy to come against you and succeed, there must be a ladder. The flesh is the one that opens the door. The door that the flesh opens is the one the devil uses to enter and start punishing and harassing people. The enemy will detect the smallest sin you commit. All the cleverly concealed bad habits, he knows them. All the smoking of cigarettes behind and polluting the temple of God, he sees them. All the evil immoral activities you do, he sees them.
So the devil deceives people through the uncrucified flesh that opens the door for him to enter. The flesh is the landing space for the airport of darkness. And any area of your life you submit to Mr Flesh, he will take it.
You can submit your head, thoughts, marriage, sex life, fingernails, lips, mouth, eyes, ambitions, certificates, talents. They are things that the enemy can use as a ladder to climb into your life if you hand them over to him.
This is why I am calling your attention to this now. This prison has caused serious trouble for man and for many in 2022. Make up your mind that you will listen to the words of the scriptures which says “mortify your flesh which is on earth”. Make sure that the flesh is dead, that he does not control your destiny and your head.
