Governor Adeleke Out Of PDP Owing To  National Leadership Imbroglio

Osun State Governor  Ademola Adeleke has officially withdrawn his membership from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), vide  an official letter dated November 4, 2025.

The resignation letter was addressed to the PDP Ward 2 Chairman, Sagba Abogunde in Ede North Local Government Area. The letter indicated the ongoing crisis pwithin the party’s national leadership as the reason for the governor’s exit.

“Due to the current crisis within the national leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I hereby resign my membership of the PDP with immediate effect,” the governor stated in the letter personally signed by him.

Governor Adeleke also expressed appreciation to the PDP for the political platform it provided, leading to his election as Senator representing Osun West and later as Governor of Osun State.

This development was confirmed by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, who signed the public statement announcing the resignation.
