…says’There are no second-Class Citizens in this country’
The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has condemned the police for their brutal assault on Okonkwo Onyemaobi Kenneth, the disabled Young Progressive Party (YPP) councillorship candidate for Otolo Ward 1, during the recent Anambra State local government elections.
IPAC labeled the use of tear gas and force against Kenneth, who was at the polling unit to vote, as “barbaric and despicable.” They demanded swift action from the Anambra Police Commissioner and Inspector General to punish those responsible.
“There are no second-class citizens in this country,” the council stated, calling for respect, protection, and police neutrality during elections to safeguard Nigeria’s democracy.
