Oyetola Alleged 25 APC Members Killed in Osun 2023 Polls

Former governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, yesterday, set up an 11-member committee with a mandate to reposition the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for effective delivery.

He gave the committee eight weeks to submit their report, insisting that APC remains the party to beat in the state.

Oyetola, who expressed sadness over the killing of 25 members of the party during the recent general elections, stated that “despite the intimidation, harassment, violence, and killings perpetrated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), people still identified with APC.

Osun electorate, again, demonstrated their love for the APC in the last presidential election, as they gave our president-elect 343,945 votes, despite the intimidation, violence, and killings that characterised the election. At the last count, we lost 25 of our members across the state during the last three elections,” he added.

He charged the committee to review activities of the party in recent times; consider the aspect of party administration, i.e. structure, funding, discipline, and reconciliation; make recommendations for an ethical reward system; create a blueprint for the future of the party in the state; and propose templates for resolving existing or future grievances among party members.
