CRAZY DRESSING:WOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN OR FRIEND TO DRESS LIKE THESE ALL IN THE NAME OF FASHION?

The common saying ‘’the way you dress is the way you will be addressed is not outdated.

There is no doubt that people try to make impressions or statements about the way they dress . Some dress attractively to the admiration of people in simple attire or costly materials and those that fancy their fashion selection tend to imitate the good gesture.

It is not a crime to dress the way you want because there is no law universally that forbids anybody to dress the way he or she likes, with the exception of some states, because of their religious affiliations which will not allow immoral dressings.

However, it is now becoming an eye–sore seeing children from various homes in Nigeria dressing ruggedly to functions, wearing rags of clothing to schools or lecture theatres and even churches where they are not really under any prying eyes of their parents!

Our cultures as Africans require us to be decent and respectable in societies but it is unfortunate that the values in our cultures have been eroded and thrown into the trash can. It is high time we did away with all these shambolic dressings all in the mind of imitating the Western World.

We all have a stake in the business of moulding lives; teachers, religious leaders and Parents to say the least. Wearing crazy wears should be discouraged and decent ones should be highly commendable.

Let our dress speaks for our inside beauty and culture and this will go a long way to save the moral decadence in our society.

Why should you turn yourself into a ‘mad ‘ fellow on the street because of an uncivilised fashion?
