Lekan Akanbi, a key suspect in the gruesome murder  of Mr. Kehinde Fatinoye and his wife Mrs. Bukola Fatinoye, claims the couple made him work as a slave in their home.
Lekan said, that the couple didn’t hire enough domestic assistant to perform the required tasks.
He claimed that as a driver who receives barely 25,000 naira from his employer, he felt the moment had arrived for him to become rich.He claimed to have asked the wife, Bukola Fatinoye, for around 200,000 to start a small business. But , that the woman insisted he should ask her husband because she did not have any money.Lekan claimed that he felt burdened by household chores and that Mrs Farinoye  younger sister had also vent her displeasure about the situation at home.He said, “I receive $25,000 from my boss as a driver, but I take care of all the household duties. I sweep the entire house after mopping the floor.”

“One day her  younger sister visited the house, and she gave me the order to wash all the plates in the house.”

I told her that I am only working as a  driver because she mistakenly took me as a housekeeper.

“So , Mr. Fatinoye and his wife effectively treated me as a slave; after her discovery, the wife’s sister also showed her displeasure about this”.Madam younger sister also promised to speak with the couple.I fed the dogs for the entire time they were away from home, and I didn’t steal anything from the house. But I was disappointed that they had no specific plan for my welfare,”,he said.
