The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru on Friday escaped death.
A truck rammed into his convoy while he was returning from a campaign rally at Uburu community Ohaozara LGA of the state.
Naija News learnt that the accident happened in the Amagu community, around Timber shade Abakaliki.
The truck crushed the armoured car conveying the governorship candidate of the APC beyond repair.
Other chieftains of the party involved in the accident were, the Chairman of the party in the state, Stanley Okoro Emegha, the former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Frank Nchita Ogbuewu and the driver of the governorship candidate, whose identity has not been ascertained.
