One of the Versatile Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, has disclosed the reasons for his decision to take a step back from his acting career to focus more his role as a father.

In an interview with
Potpourri, Ninalowo discussed Nollywood’s audition culture, his career halt, and his dedication to raising
his children.

Ninalowo questioned the necessity of auditions for lead roles, suggesting that filmmakers should already know who fits their projects before production begins.

He emphasized that auditions might still be relevant for minor or supporting roles.

The actor revealed that family obligations have now become his top priority, particularly as his children, 19 and 17, are at a crucial stage in their lives. Ninalowo believes being present for them during this time is essential.

Despite once dominating Nollywood screens, Ninalowo views his children’s upbringing as his greatest achievement.

He expressed that while his career was once the centre stage, his legacy will be defined by how he raised his children, not the films he starred in.

Ninalowo’s decision to step away from Nollywood reflects a thoughtful sacrifice, placing family over fame. Although his fans may miss his presence on tube, the actor remains firm that his role as a father is more vital to him for now.
