The US has vowed actions against those undermining democracy in Uganda.

This was contained in a reaction to the alleged irregularities in the just concluded Uganda elections.

‘’We urged all parties to reject violence and use constitutional and legal means to address complaints, echoed the United States Department of State on Saturday evening.

‘’We strongly urge independent, credible, impartial and thorough investigations into these reports and those responsible be held accountable,’’ he added.

Museveni won with 586 percent votes, with a neck battle from former reggae singer Bobi Wine, 38. The elected president Museveni won a sixth time in the office having ruled for 35 years as the longest-serving president who has been accused of crushing the opposition and the media ahead of the most violent election campaigns in recent times.
