The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has stated that it is ready to start rolling out cheap fuel for Nigerians.

The announcement made by the association’s chairman, Chinedu Okoronkwo, seems to be targeted at providing some relief to motorists and transport operators in Nigeria.

According to the chairman, the body, IPMAN, will start rolling out Compressed Natural Gas at N100 per litre.

He noted that the association is 90% ready to roll out CNG as an alternative fuel, and it’ll be sold between N100 to N110 per litre before the end of June.

This was revealed by the chairman during an interview on Channels Television, as he also highlighted that CNG would serve as an alternative fuel.

During the interview, he explained that CNG would help reduce Nigeria’s energy consumption costs.

“Very soon, we will roll out. We are 90 per cent close to that, which will also unveil many possibilities”, he said.

According to the chairman, the adoption of CNG-powered cars has started gaining speed nationwide owing to increased awareness about their efficiency and affordability, compared to ordinary petrol and diesel.
